Short History Of Turkish Airlines

Turkish Airlines was established on 20 May 1933 as a subsidiary of the Turkish Ministry of National Defense. They started their journey with only 5 small planes. There were two five-seater, two four-seater, and one ten-seater aircraft. Initially, Turkish Airlines was established as a domestic airline. Turkish Airlines entered the international arena in 1947 with the launch of the Ankara-Athens flight. They then began operating flights to Cyprus, Lebanon, and Egypt.

In 2014, 2015, and 2016, they were able to retain the title of the best airline in Europe. In addition, Air Transport News awarded Turkish Airlines the title of Airlines of the Year in 2013. Turkish Airlines is ranked 16th in the list of the best airlines by CEO World Magazine.
